2017 Annual Dinner InvitationOur Annual Dinner this year will be held on a Saturday night. For the competition, you may enter up to three images in each section that you've competed in, throughout the 2016-2017 year.
The Entry Form for the Print of the Year competition is available on the Downloads page. There is no entry form for the Projected Image of the Year Competition. Your three entries for the PI comp should be sent to Brian at no later than Saturday 24th June, to be sent away for judging, therefore entries received after this date can not be accepted. Print entries and form should be brought to the club on Wednesday 19th July.

Cost: $42.50 per person, for a 3 course alternate sit down meal

Coffee We are now having a coffee morning/get-together for anyone who would like to join us, on the first Sunday of every month. Bring your camera/laptop with questions you may have, or just come for the coffee and a chat, and get to know each other.

Kiama-Shellharbour Camera Club will be hosting a one day workshop, for all FCC club's members to learn how to choose and create better images to put in competitions. Topics covered will include work flow, camera settings, creating and picking WOW images. Presenters for the day will be David Miller (FCC President), Alan Hitchell, and John and Leanne Alessi.

Before the workshop, there will be a sunrise shoot at Bombo Quarry, Kiama for anyone who would like to attend. Red Sands Bar & Grill & Cowries Cafe will open downstairs in the club for lunch. For anyone looking for accommodation, the Bowling Club has cabins if you'd like to make a weekend out of it. Lake Illawarra, Shellharbour and Kiama all have some great locations to shoot.

Topshot 2017 Exhibition The Federation of Camera Clubs is going on the road with the 2017 Topshot Exhibition. Our club will be the host club for the Exhibition in July. Everyone is welcome to come and view some of finest images entered in the Exhibition this year. in the Sapphire Room, Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club on Saturday 8th July, 10:00am to 4:00pm.

29th SSNEP 2017 Entries are now open for the 29th SSNEP. This is an all digital exhibition with categories being Open Colour, Creative, Open Monchrome and Nature. Entries close 12th August 2017.

Gallery Anyone wishing to have their images added to the gallery, please see Vicki at club meetings. Images need to be resized to 750 pixels on the longest side. Submit up to 20 of your best merit and credit images. These can be changed at any time. You can download the instructions here.


The Photographer's EphemerisThe Photographer's Ephemeris has evolved and will no longer connect from your desktop application. You will now need to use the program online. Click the image on the right to go to the website for more information. The app is also available for iOS and Android.


From 1 January 2015 the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), The Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) will use a common definition for Nature Photography. Roy Killen has prepared a report explaining the definition. It's quite extensive and well worth the read.
